Your first factory without the spaghetti
Notes for new factory builders in Factorio, Satisfactory and friends.
1Leave space
The number one rule: leave far more space than you think. Every line will need expanding.
2Build a main bus
A bus is a group of parallel belts carrying basic materials down your base. Production branches off it. It keeps things tidy.
3Count ratios later
Do not worry about perfect ratios at first. Make it work, then make it neat.
4Use blueprints
Save builds you like and copy them. It turns a messy hour into a minute.
5Start again happily
Your second base will be better than your first. Starting fresh is part of the fun.
